Zhiyun (Richard) Peng

About me

I am a third-year computer science Ph.D. student at Simon Fraser University (SFU), advised by Dr. Eugene Fiume. My research interest includes Computer graphics, facial muscle modeling and simulation, and renewable energy forecasting. I'm a teaching assistant and research assistant. I graduated from Chongqing University with a Master of Engineering in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2020. My hometown is Yichun, Jiangxi Province, China. My hobbies are fitness, playing clarinet in orchestra, tennis, cycling, running, swimming, and reading. I speak English (fluent), Mandarin (native), Cantonese (beginner), Japanese (beginner), and French (beginner). I prefer to be called "Richard" on public occasions; and some Chinese friends may prefer to call me "Zhiyun", which is very friendly and kind as countrymen.
